Bangkok, 5 August 2025 The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has intensified its initiatives to connect film and tourism by collaborating with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment for a worldwide press event honoring Jurassic World: Rebirth. The newest edition of the legendary franchise, which debuted on July 2, was shot in the beautiful terrains of Krabi, Phang-Nga, and Trang.
From July 30 to August 3, thirty representatives from international media along with Jurassic World: Rebirth director Gareth Edwards and cast members Jonathan Bailey, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audriana Miranda gathered in Thailand for a special media event. The experience kicked off with a Welcome Dinner at the opulent Trisara resort in Phuket, followed by immersive excursions to essential filming locations under the theme “Sea, Land, and Air”, inspired by iconic scenes from the film. Participants rappelled down cliffs at Railay Beach, explored scenic coastal trails, and produced original content set against the film’s breathtaking backdrops.
This worldwide media event is an important part of TAT larger “Location Thailand” campaign, which seeks to promote Thai destinations via international film and television exposure. As the trend of “set-jetting” travel inspired by movies and series has grown, the campaign has created immediate visibility on digital platforms and revived global interest in the cinematic landscapes of southern Thailand.
